TANconsult has actively participated with international consultants in the design and supervision of many civil engineering projects. Our largest, the Kapunga/Madibira project, performed in collaboration with Sir William Halcrow and Partners, commenced in 1981.
TANconsult has been involved in the design and construction of various commercial projects including high rise office buildings, bank branches and headquarters. Our designs accommodate the open plan system, allowing flexibility in space assignment.
TANconsult has been fortunate to be involved in several new landmark buildings for municipal and government organizations. The largest to date is the new Parliament Building in Dodoma, which is expected to be handed over in April 2006.
TANconsult is proud to be involved in the design of buildings for several educational, charity and religious organizations. While the firm is committed to assisting in the commercial development of the country, we believe in the importance of charity and religion.
From its humble beginnings, TANconsult has provided services in many residential projects built for the private individual client, to roving residential complexes owned by government or parastatal organizations.
Kapunga Rice Project - Construction of approximately 5,000 hectares of rice irrigated farm with associated infrastructure, rice mill and social amenities. It also involved the design and supervision of housing scheme to accommodate the staff to manage the farm. The scheme was supplied with electricity and water supply from river and borehole sources. The project was carried out in association with Halcrow.
